Last week after making my Full Moon Dreamboard for this month, I discovered that what I wish for at the moment is some Flow. I want to get into this state where things just happen, almost without any effort, instead of struggling constantly. So I invited Flow into my life, trusting that the universe would help me with this.
It did, but of course not in the way I expected. It taught me a lesson. Simple, but powerful. I wanted the things I was struggling with to change, but instead I learned that it was me who had to stop struggling. If you want to go with the flow, to let the river take you where you want to be taken, you have to relax and let the water carry you. It’s impossible to get into that flow if you keep trying to swim against the current.
Which is exactly what I was doing. Swimming against the current, fighting the river instead of letting it carry me. I had invited Flow in, but kept the door shut, preventing Flow from actually coming in.
You see, moving to the Philippines has been a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. I kept pretending that everything was wonderful and great in the hope that by doing so, things would miraculously become wonderful and great. I’ve tried to adjust so hard. Just thinking about prolonging my contract with another six months or even more gave me a sinking feeling. It was time to finally admit to myself that this is not the right place for me, that I don’t feel happy or at home here. I made the decision to go back to Europe at the end of this year. I don’t regret coming here, it’s been a very valuable experience that I’m very grateful for, but not one I want to prolong. As soon as I said it out loud, the knot in my stomach loosened and I could feel things started shifting. I felt so much lighter. I’m letting the water carry me.
This Wishcasting Wednesday I’m inviting Flow into my life again, and this time the door is wide open.

I have been here too. moving to someplace that just didn’t fit and struggling with the change – again…I was happy I went with the flow – no matter what others thought..in the end it was the right move. Follow your heart and may the flow take you were you are suppost to be!! Namaste, Sarah

This is so resonating with me right now. And so well said. I live in a place that I don’t feel is home and have for five years even though I try so hard to make my place here. It’s lovely. Nice people. Beautiful home. But…
And, knowing how that feels, I am so thrilled that you’ve felt what it’s like to know when you’ve made the right decision to move on…go with the flow. I admire you very much even though we don’t know each other at all.
